My paintings mainly depict characters interacting with the natural world and/or each other. How they got to where they are and what will happen next I don't know - I just know the part of the story that is revealed to me as I paint.
My stories take shape in an isolated studio on the windswept coast of England. I am surrounded mostly by sky and birds and hares - and lots of rabbits, but very few people as the only way here is by boat...
